The Illinois Test or the Agility Test, tests you on how quick and agile you are. Your grade is determined by how quickly you can run the course.
I went poorly in this test being ranked in the second half of the class and being under the class average. Reasons for this are I believe because I am quite a big guy it is hard for me to run through a course designed for agility because I do not posses much agility. |
two week programJust like the other running tests for this I advise a long stretch before training sessions. I would advise 4 10 metre sprints starting on your belly for quick starts, followed up by running between cone 4 times to be more speedy at turns. Repeat this for 30 minutes. Do this 4 times a week for 2 weeks.

This Test could have been improved by allowing us more time to stretch and get ready for it. We could have also have done it on a softer floor for the start.
