THE beep test
The Beep Test is a Running course of 20 metres which you repeat consistently until you cant run any longer. The times for each 20 metre run will become progressively faster and faster. I ranked extremely well in this course running 5th out of the 31 in the class considering my size. I beat the class Average and have also set a new personal best for myself. I believe that I went well due to my rugby training through out the season and swimming training throughout the year. |
2 week program
Start your training with stretches, such as pulling your foot back against your bum or trying to touch your toes to loosen your muscles. Then start with a one kilometre run for stamina. Afterwards do ten 20 metre sprints for quickness, and then stretch again. Follow this until you have reached 30 minutes and do it 4 times a week. When it begins to feel easy, start to add on more like begin to do 2 kilometres and 15 sprints. Continue this for 2 weeks.

I Believe levels in the beep test would be a lot higher if the school held the beep test outside, rather then the Marist Centre. By holding it out side students would have received greater traction making it easier to sprint and cool, fresh air on them considering it had been a cool day.
